Andrew Bernstein,MSRE
Managing Partner
Andrew Bernstein, MSRE, is the Founder and Chief Appraiser of Macro Realty Advisors, LLC, a commercial real estate valuation firm he established in 2010. He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and has over 20 years of experience as a Certified General Appraiser.

Throughout his career, Andrew has appraised hundreds of billions of dollars in commercial real estate across the United States and internationally. His clients have included REITs, private equity funds, pension funds, lenders, developers, and institutional investors. His valuation work spans financing, financial reporting (ASC 805 Purchase Price Allocations), tax appeals, trust and estate matters, bankruptcies, and government-related assignments.
Prior to founding Macro Realty Advisors, Andrew worked with Fortune 500 companies, national valuation firms, and boutique appraisal practices, where he also mentored and managed junior appraisers.

Notable engagements include participation in the $8.5 billion TD Bank–Commerce Bank acquisition appraisal portfolio, appraisal reviews of The Plaza Hotel and The Dream Hotel in New York City, and valuations of large multi-property portfolios including healthcare facilities, farmland, financial institutions, and multifamily housing.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Dominican College and attended the New York Military Academy on a Blue Ribbon academic scholarship.

Dr. Ira M. Bernstein, DMD, FAGD
Partner
Dr. Ira M. Bernstein, DMD, FAGD is a highly respected general and cosmetic dentist with more than 35 years of clinical experience in the New York metropolitan area. Born, raised, and having practiced throughout the NYC region, Dr. Bernstein built and operated a premier, high-end dental practice known for advanced cosmetic and reconstructive care and an exceptional patient experience.

A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine, he has lectured nationally, published in professional journals, served as a hospital consultant and educator, and holds a U.S. patent related to jaw treatment technology. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and has been consistently recognized among the region’s top dentists.
After a distinguished career, Dr. Bernstein recently retired from clinical practice and successfully sold his practice before relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina to be closer to his family — his daughter, Joanna, a highly respected physician assistant, and her three children, as well as his son, Andrew Bernstein, and his granddaughter.
Dr. Bernstein now brings his decades of leadership, entrepreneurial experience, and strategic insight to Cherry Blossom Capital, where he supports the firm’s real estate investment and development initiatives.


Joshua Kahr
Partner
Joshua Kahr is the Principal of Kahr Real Estate Services, a training and consulting firm he founded in 2002 serving the commercial real estate industry. In 2009, he founded Metropolitan America, a real estate investment company that owns and manages apartment buildings throughout New Jersey. In 2020, he launched Essex Suites, a coworking company, which opened its first location in Verona, New Jersey.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kahr held positions in investment sales at a regional brokerage firm in New York City and in acquisitions at a fund specializing in environmentally contaminated real estate.
Mr. Kahr is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University, where he teaches real estate finance and risk and portfolio management. Previously, he served for nearly 20 years as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University. He has also taught at Northwestern University, Georgetown University, and Baruch College (CUNY).
He has served on the board of directors of two public companies, Monmouth Capital Corporation and Monmouth Real Estate, and previously served on the advisory boards of two proptech companies, Assess+RE and clik.ai.
Mr. Kahr is the author of two books on real estate market analysis: Real Estate Market Valuation and Analysis (John Wiley & Sons, 2005) and Beyond the Bubble (AMACOM Books, 2007).He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University (1997) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Reed College (1992). He is licensed as a real estate broker in both New York and New Jersey.
